Gordon Tytler FCIPS

Director of Procurement, Rolls-Royce

 

Gordon was appointed to his current role as Procurement Director for Rolls-Royce in April 2016. Prior to this he has held a range of senior executive leadership roles covering Operations, Supply Chain Management and Procurement at Group and Divisional level. He has successfully led major global organisations with both operational and profit and loss accountability, developing an expertise across the Aerospace, Energy and Marine market
sectors.

With a strong passion for cross cultural leadership Gordon has led teams through major transformational improvement programmes in Asia, Eastern & Central Europe, the US and Scandinavia. He has lived in three countries over his career with assignments based in the UK, US and Norway.

Gordon started his career by joining Rolls-Royce as a graduate engineer and holds a Batchelor of Engineering degree with honours, a Masters degree in Manufacturing and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply. He has also carried out visiting lecturing roles for universities in both the United States and the United Kingdom.

He is the Chairman of the Board for Rolls-Royce Vietnam and has previously carried out a role as a Non-Executive Director for a Financial Services ‘start up’ company. Gordon is married and lives in the Derbyshire Peak District National Park in
England.
