Annie Brown

Annie joined IHG in February 1998. She took on the role of Chief Procurement Officer in December 2012; in 2014, her remit grew to encompass Cost Efficiency and in 2016 Annie was promoted to Senior Vice President, Global Procurement and Cost Efficiency.
She is a Senior Procurement leader with experience of working at executive board level and enjoys leading multi-disciplinary global teams; she has a track record of achieving results in a dynamic and complex global organisation, with strong commercial and general management experience gained whilst in key roles in both Procurement and regional operating roles.
She has strong commercial and change management skills, which over the years have been leveraged not only in Procurement but also in other areas such as food and beverage development, transformational programmes and operations. Annie has recently been invited to become a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Procurement.
Prior to IHG, Annie worked for Invicta Leisure; in its time one of the leading Golf and Leisure companies in the UK, where Annie headed up their retail division. Previous to Annie venturing in to the corporate world she spent 3 years training as a nurse, she then went on to spend 5 years as a qualified nurse in areas such as Coronary Care and Accident & Emergency.
